Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
***
O Precious Father, God Most High, thank you for your patience, grace, and forgiveness. I want the Holy Spirit to lead me and empower me to grow in every way, but especially so that I can be more like Jesus in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Thank you for hearing my prayer offered in Jesus' name. Amen.
Have a beautiful blessed week!

Psalm 96
“1 Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
7 Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come into his courts.
9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”
The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples in his faithfulness.”

Elegant Small Cakes

I’ve never done these types of small cakes before, and always wanted to try them.  It was easier than I thought but it did take some time (and some throwawaysJ) before I was happy with the end product.  I made them especially for very special friends that invited me for tea ... I think they are gorgeous ... would love to do some more!!

Lord please bless me as you blessed Abram - thank you Abba!

18 “Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying,
“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.”
Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.” (Genesis 14)

Welcome 2013 !!!

My aim was to start blogging 1 January ...well ... it turned out I found myself on the first day of the new year in Pilansberg Game Reserve ... lucky me! What a wonderful blessed way to start the new year!

My first project for 2013 was to bring a little sunshine to the girls in the office on the first working day ... as we all have to diet after the lovely Christmas holidays .... only something small - but full of fun ... hope they enjoy it ...

I was reading Genesis 13 last night and wondered what Abram thought:

14 "The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspringforever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

18 So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the Lord."

Did Abram looked all around and visualise people, towns, lots of cattle, sheep etc. What was going on in his mind?  If it was me I would immediately start building and doing and be busy very busy!!!  Not Abram he pitched his tents and build an altar and worship God ... this is a huge lesson for me ...  patience Carinah ... in quietness adore Jesus ...

Have a lovely blessed day!
